For the birthday of our son Martin @martingraphy, we were able for the first time since November 2020 to eat at the restaurant again. And then we went back for a walk in the park of the Château de Bouthéon, where we have been on numerous occasions. On July 22, I picked up my son @martingraphy in Toulouse. He was finishing an intensive one-week rugby course that day. I left Poitiers in the morning by train, and I arrived in Toulouse at noon, after a stopover in Bordeaux. On the way back, with my son, we had a stopover in Agen, then another in Bordeaux, before returning to Poitiers. Here are some pictures that relate this round trip by train.

Chinon is a fascinating city. A small town on the banks of the Vienne, it is the birthplace of François Rabelais, a Renaissance writer known for his love of good food and good wine. Because Chinon is also a wine appellation, with an absolutely famous red wine. The town is overlooked by a spectacular medieval castle, from which one has a breathtaking view of the town, the vineyards and the Vienne valley.

Turns up with the postman one morning and it looks like the jolting it received in the postal system freed something. It works just fine :)
These are the outdoor tables and chairs at a cafe in Parque da Quintas das Conchas e Dos Lilases as seen early in the morning. This was a lovely place to take a morning stroll before grabbing breakfast.
