This image is made up of several ‘outtakes’ from different times and places fused together to make a fictional street scene based on reality.
The first two photographs in the series (from the left) are of a recently closed down Service Station (Petrol / Gas Station depending on your version of English) along the former Princess Highway which marks the halfway point between the main city centre and back of whoop-whoop. Things can get quite exploratory in rural Australia, but you are more likely to be sucked up by a UFO than be accosted by a Yowie whilst travelling along these lonely outback roads.
Moving along to the next two snap-shots are of the illustrious Cam Wah Chinese & Vietnamese Restaurant situated in an outer suburb of the city centre. Despite the well weathered appearance of the building, word around the campfire is that the establishment offers some of the best authentic Asian culinary delights in the area, if not the country. My girlfriend will vouch for this as will several on-line reviews.
For the final images, I have indeed saved the best for last. Travelling through steep mountains, with howling Dingoes snapping at my heels and Drop-bears manifesting themselves from eucalyptus trees, I reach the former Jupiter Creek Gold Diggings. And with that I choose to head off the local pub for some much-needed refreshment.
The Hagen Arms is s is one of South Australia’s oldest Hotels, operating uninterrupted for over 178 years. After a quick chat with the publican, Ned, and his better half Kelly, it’s time to put pen to paper (or more correctly Olympus-Pen to film) and do what I set out to do - take some photographs!

First test of the expired Agfaphoto Vista Plus (from 2013). I got a big batch of this for a ridiculous price (2€ per roll), so I was curious to know what it was worth. Exposed by reading the DX code, so at its nominal value (100 iso), the results are very good. it looks like new! In fact, by looking at the negatives received from the lab, I can clearly see typical colored stripes at the bottom... Yep, this Agfaphoto is refurbished Fujifilm! So it is indeed a stock of 30 Fujifilm 24 exposure rolls in almost brand new condition... 😎

Le long de la route 47 s’allonge le « Fjörd des baleine ». Ancien passage obligé pour se rendre de Reykjavik au nord. Aujourd’hui le tunnel d’Akranes, laisse le fjörd à l’écart du flux de circulation. Along the Road 47 lies the "Whale Fjörd". Old passage to go from Reykjavik to the north. Today the Akranes tunnel leaves the fjörd out of the flow of traffic.
