No.19 of a hundred village churches to come... According to various sources, the church's heptagonal central building dates back to the 13th or late 14th century.
The undisputed highlight is the epitaph (1611-13) by Christoph Dehne (marble, alabaster and sandstone)
The southern extension to the central building, the entrance to the von der Hagen family's lodge, is built of timber framing, which was then covered with bricks. The southern choir extension, the entrance to the von Brösicke family's patron's lodge, is half-timbered, like the central building.
